Deborah is a great photographer who did an incredible job at a location where most people can´t get. I feel she captured the essence of the subjects and the art of rock climbing by using the space and capturing spectacular moments, specially when all those clouds surrounded the monolith tower while climbing the route. I feel super happy with your inspiring pictures. Thanks for sharing your talent and good photographer´s eye!!

New Project: "Quetzal Hero"

Since many years I have been looking for new ways to improve the art of rock climbing and expand people´s experiences. My vision is to inspire others to go out and interact with a world beyond the limitations of the ¨regular¨ patterns of our modern society, to think out of the box.

When I am alone at the mountains I experience emotions that are not normally there in daily life. By putting my mind and body in extreme places or situations I can see things differently and I am drawn to an spiritual hyper-aware state. Taking those risks help me understand who I am, what I am capable of, create and interact with nature. I abandon the perception of being an athlete to become an artist.

After completing my last climbing project ¨Cosmic Love¨ I went explore some mountains around Alto Jaramillo. At 1700 meters above sea level I found some fascinating rock formations. One of those formations is a 35 meters tower (monolith) of volcanic origin.

Immediately I felt captured by the beauty of the tower and decided to climb it. When I rappelled down the tower I saw many Quetzals and other colorful birds flying around. A truly inspiring scenery of nature!

This is my most recent climbing project. ¨Quetzal Hero¨. Hope you enjoy.
